Í ljósi hraðrar útbreiðslu COVID-19 veirunnar höfum við kynnt fyrir starfsfólki okkar þau viðmið sem sóttvarnalæknir og embætti almannavarna setja til varnar.
Að því sögðu hefur verið ákveðið að fjarlægja sængur,teppi og kodda úr gistirýmum ferjunnar. Þetta er gert með það í huga að minnka smithættu farþega og starfsfólks.
Farþegar eru því beðnir um að koma með sitt eigið teppi og kodda.
Almennar sóttvarnir á borð við handhreinsun með handþvotti og/eða handspritti eru mikilvægasta ráðið við sjúkdómnum. Hvetjum við því farþega að notast við handspritt sem er staðsett bæði í afgreiðsluhúsum og um borð í Herjólfi.
Þetta mun taka í gildi frá og með sunnudag, 8. mars 2020.

COVID-19
Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 has Herjólfur staff member been informed the criteria set by epidemiologists and civil protection office.
That being said, it has been decided to remove all duvets, blankets and pillows from the ferry’s accommodation. This decision has been made with passengers and staff members best intrest in mind in order to reduce the risk of infections.
Therefore we ask passengers, starting from this Sunday, 8th of March to bring their own blankets and/or pillows.
General hygiene practices, especially regular handwashing with soap and water and hand sanitizer are important. Therefore we’d like to encourage our passengers to use our hans sanitizer stands which are located on board Herjólfur as well as all ticket offices.
